mint is located in the atrium of the ZKM (Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe).
You can celebrate your event with us at mint or rent larger spaces and conference rooms with the associated conference technology via the ZKM. Please contact the Event Department of the ZKM (see also ZKM as a location on page 53). mint can host events for up to 500 persons with block and banquet seating or up to 800 persons at standing receptions.
Whether you choose finger food, snacks, a menu served at the table or a buffet for birthdays, family and corporate celebrations, meetings, conventions and anniversaries – mint looks forward to being your host. We offer you fresh, healthy and sophisticated cuisine based on seasonal and mostly regional ingredients. We believe in offering a healthy balance between meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Naturally, we also offer gluten- and lactose-free meals on request and these are clearly labelled.
Catering for your event – we plan individually.
Your event can take place either during or outside our opening hours depending on the number of guests. You can also visit us and the ZKM during regular opening hours. We change our lunch menu every week and serve soups, snacks, salads, pasta and classic dishes with a modern twist. Freshness is very important to us... because you can always taste freshness. We believe that good food is home-made. That's why we make almost everything ourselves with great attention to detail – from spreads, chutneys and herbal salt to jam, cereals and chocolates. Even many of the drinks are home-made: hot chocolate, sodas, ice tea and smoothies. The selection of savoury dishes is perfectly complemented by our in-house pastry shop. Our entire range of sweets is produced in our own baking studio: pies, cakes, sweet bits, desserts, chocolates and much more. Our daytime menu is mostly vegetarian. Meat can be ordered with some dishes on request, we also offer a number of sweet and salty vegan options. We are animal lovers so we choose our animal products with care. We source our foods and ingredients from small local suppliers in the surrounding region... because quality is close to home. Some products even come from our own garden so the menu changes with the seasons.
