Hotel-Restaurant Steuermann has been a familiar name for 40 years. When daughter Birgit and her husband Jeremy Cole took over, they put new wind into the hotel’s sails, and it has been moving ahead at a good speed for many years now. Yet although quite a few changes are in evidence, the basic foundation is still in place. As before, there is a great emphasis on fresh products and high quality. Many of our products come directly from the farmer or winery, so that we can keep an eye on our carbon footprint.
Regional and seasonal food with a subtle international touch is served in a harmonious, elegantly furnished setting. While being keen to offer high-quality food and superb wines an excellent value for money is also being delivered. During the summer months the Beer Garden offers additional comfortable seating where food and drinks can be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere.
Steuermann in German means “helmsman”, and you’ll be right on tack with us for some great culinary delights, whether it’s a business lunch, a family reunion, a birthday party, corporate catering or just a romantic meal for two.
The small but excellent three-star business hotel has 30 single and double rooms in a variety of categories. It offers a harmonious ambience, high-quality furnishings with plenty of accessories and state-of-the-art communication facilities. As the only city hotel that is directly situated by the Rhine Harbour and in close to the Exhibition Centre, discerning guests have enjoyed outstanding service and a pleasantly warm atmosphere for many decades.
