THE AKADEMIEBÜHNE: A HARMONIOUS ENSEMBLE OF NOSTALGIA AND MODERNISM – UNIQUE IN THE REGION
It’s an unusual venue: when the Akademiebühne was built in 1954, it was originally intended as a cinema and theatre for the French armed forces, but was later extended and rededicated as a church. Since 2008 it has been the hub of EurAka Baden-Baden.
A wide variety of events can be held at the Akademiebühne. Extensive reconstruction ensured that the building retained its church atmosphere, in particular – with ancient pews, a nostalgic foyer and colourful stained glass windows, making the Akademiebühne a real gem and therefore a very special venue. Its functionality and outstanding technical facilities allow organisers to hold events of the highest quality. Whether it’s a corporate function, a product presentation or a meeting, you’ll always find ideal conditions for almost any type of event.

The hall is 380 sqm in size, with two ascending steps. It has a stage and a backstage area as well as a laser system with a water screen and comprehensive sound and lighting facilities, allowing plenty of flexibility at an event.
There is also a sound studio with a recording and control room, so that events can be recorded.
Moreover, the venue has a catering kitchen and two multipurpose rooms (each 65 sqm), which can be used as artists’ dressing rooms or as seminar or storage rooms. In addition, there is a patio, widening out the options even further.
